What is DJI Care Refresh?
DJI Care Refresh is a product insurance DJI. Its cost is covered by the insurance company with which the manufacturer DJI has a contract, and can be purchased at authorized stores DJI, including our website. This is a form of insurance that, unlike the standard warranty, covers damage resulting from operator errors, flooding, etc. Whenever your drone breaks down, it will be replaced with a new one or repaired for a fee, so you will receive a unit in the form of a fully operational drone, camera or gimbal that does not differ visually and technically from a new unit. This ensures that you will always have a working equipment, ready to fly. Activation of the Service Package is possible once up to 48 hours after the initial launch of the drone, or at a later date, after providing verification video to the DJI.
Why DJI Care Refresh when there is a guarantee?
Although the manufacturer's warranty provides repair in the event of a manufacturing or design defect in the product, it is worth knowing that there are situations that are beyond the scope of the warranty. This is where DJI Care Refresh comes in, offering protection also in case of flooding, flooding (resulting from the operator's fault), smartphone/tablet malfunction, collision (resulting from the operator's fault), and other mishaps that are not the result of a malfunctioning device, such as a bird attack. Thus, by opting for DJI Care Refresh, you provide additional protection for a variety of events that may occur during the use of your drone or camera.
What Insurance Covers DJI Care Refresh?
By purchasing DJI Care Refresh you protect your drone, camera or gimball from accidents caused by the operator's fault, among other things from the likes of:
- collapse of
- drowning
- collision
- accident caused by interference with the drone's operating signal
Duration of insurance DJI Care
Insurance DJI Care Refresh can cover 12 or 24 months, depending on the plan selected. Under the annual plan, you have the option to make two exchanges, while with the two-year plan you have as many as four exchanges over the course of the insurance period.
Can I buy DJI Care Refresh insurance for my company?
Yes, as much as possible, you can purchase DJI Care Refresh insurance for your company. During the purchase process, when filling out the details in the shopping cart, in the "Your Details" section, enter the TIN and the name of your company. This will allow you to purchase insurance for your business.
How to activate DJI Care Refresh insurance?
Insurance DJI Care Refresh can be activated on the manufacturer's website up to 48 hours after activation of the device. To activate insurance:
- Go to https://service.dji.com/care/active
- Enter your unique insurance number
- Enter your drone's serial number and contact information
- That's it, you will receive a confirmation to your email address.
How to activate DJI Care Refresh insurance after 48 hours of activation?

What gives DJI Care Refresh? Do I have to meet any conditions?
Insurance DJI gives you full protection for your product. It doesn't matter what happens to it, whether it gets flooded, hits a tree, or falls down. DJI replaces the device with a new product or an equivalent product in terms of efficiency.
The condition is the delivery of the damaged equipment, so if we have sunk the drone - it should be fished out.
Do I have to set up the DJI Care Refresh case myself - or can you do it for me if I bought the equipment from you?
Can DJI Care Refresh insurance be renewed after one year?
Yes, it is possible to renew DJI Care Refresh insurance even after one year. If your original insurance DJI Care Refresh had a one-year duration, you can renew it twice by selecting subsequent annual plans. On the other hand, if you chose insurance for two years, you have the option of renewing it once by choosing an annual plan. In both cases, the maximum renewal period is three years.
In order to take advantage of the renewal option, it is important that the basic insurance DJI Care Refresh has not expired, i.e. 12 or 24 months have not yet elapsed since its activation, or no more than 15 days have passed since the end of the validity period. This gives you a chance to continue protection for your device.

I have a problem activating Care - the phone number is incorrect
When you are at the 3rd stage of activating the code DJI Care Refresh, enter your phone number in the format: two digits of the country code, followed by 9 digits of the mobile number. For numbers from Poland, for example, it will be 48XXXXXXXXX. Do not use special characters, e.g. "+" or "0" before the area code, or add spaces.
I don't know what code I should enter in the first step of activation DJI Care Refresh
In the first step of activation you enter two codes:
- Purchased code DJI Care Refresh
- Verification code that protects against robots
For some devices, for example, when you activate insurance directly on the controller DJI the security code is invisible. Scroll down the page (swipe up) to show you the verification code.
DJI Care Refresh - how to report? How to send equipment for replacement under DJI Care Refresh?
However, if you want to do it yourself:
1. To take advantage of the DJI Care replacement, report the repair through the website service DJI and select Repair Application Submission :
2. Then, after you enter the serial number of the device you want to send, a pop-up window will pop up informing you that you can use a faster service option, tzw. DJI Care Refresh Express. If we choose the Express service, after entering the serial number of the device and the address to which the drone is to be sent back, it will automatically redirect us to the payment page using PayPal, and after receiving it, DJI will send a waybill to our email address and a link to order a courier who will pick up the drone from us at no extra charge.
In the case of the standard procedure DJI Care Refresh, after creating a notification, we have to send the product to the manufacturer, who will then proceed to evaluate the loss and price the repair - it will give us a choice of traditional paid repair (which usually almost matches the price of a new unit) or repair under DJI Care Refresh. Only then do we receive the payment link and the drone is exchanged and sent back to us.
From experience, we know that the DJI Care Refresh Express repair time takes approx. 6 - 7 working days, already counting with two-way shipping, while in the case of standard mode, we may not even see a new copy until 2.5 to 3 weeks.

It is important to remember that DJI will issue an invoice for the exchange if the entity has an active VAT-EU number ("European TIN")
How to find the serial number of my equipment DJI?
The drone's serial number DJI is located on the battery flap or in place of the battery. It is a string of approx. 10 characters, which consists of numbers and letters. The drone's serial number can also be scanned, as it is additionally shown as a QR code.

DJI Osmo Action has a serial code hidden in the battery compartment. With the Osmo Pocket, however, you have to 'tinker' a bit.
