Autel Robotics drones
The Autel Robotics company was founded in 2014 (the same year as the Megadron store). Its main vision is the development of unmanned aerial technologies to enable users of recreational and commercial platforms to meet and exceed their needs and expectations when it comes to drones.
Autel is a team of multi-discipline engineers who are inspired by customers and their desire to provide them with better and better products. It is a combination of science and passion that leads us to create the best products in the industry. The first model was the X-Star in 2015 and we firmly established our leadership in the industry with the EVO series. The development of the EVO II platform in 2020 marks a new era for Autel Robotics as we have adapted, modified and accelerated technologies to meet the intended uses of these dynamic aircraft and payloads for their users.
Autel EVO II drones available
- Autel EVO II - It has an 8K, 48MP camera with a 1/2" CMOS sensor. It can capture content with a resolution of up to 8,000x6,000 pixels for photos, which means you can view it on a 100 inch TV. The video resolution is up to 7,720×4,320 pixels. It also has a 4x lossless zoom in the camera, and its weight at launch is 1,127 grams.
- EVO II Pro - comes with a 20MP camera with a 1-inch CMOS sensor, adjustable aperture (ranging from f/2.8 to f/11), HDR, ISO range 100-12,800 and 6K video recording capability. EVO II Pro at launch is 1174 grams.
- EVO II Dual - features both a FLIR Boson thermal sensor with a thermal resolution of up to 640x512 and the same 8K camera that comes with the standard model. The launch weight of the EVO II Dual 320 is 1157 grams and 1192 grams for the EVO II Dual 640.
Autel EVO II drones are distinguished by high quality video recordings. What we liked was the control apparatus, which has a built-in display. Compared to DJI drones, the apparatus in Autel Robotics EVO 2 can display an image (view from the camera) - this will speed up the time needed to take off and prepare for the flight of the Autel EVO drone. Another distinction is the high level of obstacle avoidance, which allows for very precise tracking (ActiveTrack).
Thanks to the Autel Evo Live Deck, it is possible to display the image in 1080P (60 frames) quality via the built-in HDMI port on any device. The function can be very useful when using a drone to broadcast live events or on TV (live drone coverage).
