Have you ever experienced problems with your drone disconnecting? Sometimes you are ready to fly, but the DJI GO and GO 4 apps state that your drone is "Disconnected." Why this happened? DJI GO connection problems can be caused by faulty USB cables, remote control signal connection, device compatibility and several other reasons.

So let's start with some quick fixes:

  • Try with a different USB cable. A malfunctioning USB cable can still look good on the outside. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. If it still doesn't work, test with an alternative USB cable. It is recommended to use the original USB cable from DJI or the cable;provided with the mobile device.

  • Restart the phone/tablet and controller.

  • Try it with another smartphone / tablet. Are you using a mobile device recommended by DJI? There are various iOS and Android devices on the market, but not all are compatible with DJI GO apps. Make sure the one you are using is compatible by checking the download section on the drone's product page.

  • Update the DJI GO software and app. Don't ignore update notifications in DJI GO apps.
