DJI's new drone - Matrice 30 and 30T
Matrice 30 is DJI's new Enterprise segment drones coming in two versions - base M30 i M30T with a thermal imaging camera. The manufacturer has created a solution that is the result of years of collaboration with public safety teams and infrastructure inspection entities. It must be admitted that the capabilities of this industrial platform are impressive, and the manufacturer has once again proved that it is several steps ahead of others - even the word "competition" seems not very appropriate. The compact and foldable design combined with flagship features and performance make the M30 one of the most anticipated industrial drones on the market.
Matrice 30 portable enterprise platform
Most public safety inspections and operations often require an immediate response. Pilots often have to be immediately ready for missions and fly from several locations in one assignment. Then the mobility of the device is invaluable.
Industrial drones are associated with clunky construction and heavy weight - even the popular Matrice 300 with two TB60 batteries weighs as much as 6.3 kg. The weight of the new Matrice 30 with two batteries is just 3.77 kg while maintaining a robust design. In addition, this drone lacks a landing gear, and the folding arms have a quick-lock mechanism to minimize setup time. The M30 series has been developed with speed of deployment in mind and each component is tailored to be ready to fly in just seconds. When folded, the Matrice 30 will fit in a backpack and you can easily carry it around.
DJI's new drone - a new definition of ruggedness
DJI M30 is a drone ideal for even the most demanding special missions. You can count on this machine even when you can't wait for good lighting and weather conditions. The M30 is resistant to strong winds up to 54 km/h (7 on the Beaufrot scale) and temperature extremes of -20°C to 50°C, a protection class IP55 allows you to work even in the rain.
In addition, the drone has dual vision and ToF sensors on all six sides of the drone, providing enhanced safety. Built-in ADS-B receiver provides timely warnings of nearby incoming manned aircraft.
Capture everything - regardless of conditions
The drone is available in two versions. The base version, designated M30, integrates a wide-angle camera, a zoom camera and a laser rangefinder. Expanded version of the M30T has additionally a high-resolution thermal imaging camera, which allows to track hotspots and heat signatures with an accuracy of up to +/-2°C.
The video camera system captures images in 8K and records video in 4K and 30 fps./s. The optical zoom allows you to zoom in from 5x to as much as 16x.
The wide angle and zoom camera have a sensor 1/2'' CMOS, which, along with Smart Low Light Photo, allows you to capture images even in very low light conditions. The M30 is optimized so that the ground and horizon line are clearly visible, even at night, so you can fly safely and confidently. You can count on this industrial drone for even the toughest missions that can't wait for clear skies and favorable conditions.
Laser rangefinder provides a clear view even in complex environments. Thanks to advanced algorithms, it allows you to mark a PinPoint on any object in the drone's field of view and determine its coordinates even from up to 1,200 meters away!

Reducing the size of the device usually leads to some sort of compromise. Such an action took place, for example, in the case of the DJI Mini or the Mini 2, which the manufacturer has stripped the obstacle detection sensors in favor of achieving the desired weight of 249 grams. Matrice 30 is an exception to the rule and strikes a balance between mobility and high performance at every level. Despite being half the weight of the Matrice 300, the M30 offers up to 41 minutes of flight time, maximum flight speed up to 23 m/s (83 km/h), and its maximum flight altitude is 7000 meters.
DJI RC Plus - improved controller visibility and functionality
DJI RC Plus is a new controller built specifically for commercial drone operators for even more efficient operation. Public safety missions and inspections often require adaptability. Built-in wide 7-inch screen provides greater flexibility and a high-resolution, 1200 cd/m brightness image without the need for an external monitor. This will allow you to clearly identify points of interest, see details that might otherwise go unnoticed, and navigate the Matrice 30 even more efficiently even in bright sunlight.
RC Plus is DJI's first waterproof controller. It features iP54 class resistance, so you can control it with the M30, which flies in the rain and in extreme temperature conditions from -20°C to 50°C.
DJI has also made the user experience more convenient with a new intuitive app DJI Pilot 2 with a redesigned interface. Control of the drone and its payload is easily accessible at a single touch, and the clear presentation of flight details and navigation information will greatly enhance your drone's flight experience and performance.
The ergonomic design of the DJI RC Plus controller and the physical side buttons i customizable will allow you to perform quick operations such as adjusting the camera view or dropping the PinPoints, and above all, they will allow you to enjoy an even smoother and more efficient flight. You don't have to tap the screen or let go of the sticks. Whether you're conducting search and rescue operations, inspecting infrastructure, or responding to an emergency, the last thing you want is to be searching through menus on a touchscreen to select a key function-especially if weather conditions make that a challenge.
DJ Pilot 2 includes a comprehensive checklist so you can quickly confirm your drone's status and parameter settings so you can take off safely. In addition, it displays your location and nearby obstacles to keep you up to date with your surroundings and the situation. Special algorithms calculate the development of conditions and scenarios and send alert notifications.
