DJI Smart Controller - Mavic 2 series smart controller
2019-01-23
That the controller controls for the Mavic or Spark series can annoy-we know not from today.
DJI failed to anticipate the rapid development of the smartphone market and the fact that there is now a trend toward narrower screen bezels and the use of the so-called notch, which is an indentation for the speaker, front camera and sensors.
Using the iPhone as an example, the notch is located at the mounting point, on the arm of the controller, so the light sensor is covered.
This results in the need to manually control the quality of the screen- in the sunlight the preview is poorly visible, as the smartphone receives misleading data, reduces the backlight to a minimum.
What's more, controlling brightness on its own can be annoying with the controller arm covering the menu.
But to the point :)
DJI Smart Controller it has a built-in screen with a 5.5-inch diagonal, FHD resolution and-impressively-with a brightness of 1000 nits. For comparison- iPhone 7 has a maximum brightness of 625 nits, Galaxy Note 8- 728 nits.
