- Operation of DJI Neo is extremely intuitive. Simply press the Mode button on its top to quickly select a smart recording mode and take off from the palm of your hand without the need to connect a control camera and learn how to control it.
- DJI Neo offers many interesting ways to control. It can take off from your hand and land on it without the need for a control apparatus.** It also supports traditional drone controllers and allows for an immersive FPV flight experience.
- DJI Neo is excellent at flying at low altitudes and following people in close proximity. It can also easily fly close to the ground and move indoors, providing a unique and immersive experience.***

**Follow these tips when taking off and landing on your hand: try to fly in as windless an environment as possible. Extend your arm horizontally and keep it steady. Avoid contact with propellers to avoid injury. Don't try to grab the drone while in flight.
***DJI Neo does not support obstacle avoidance. To ensure safe flight, keep your drone in sight. If you want to fly beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), make sure the drone is in good working order, the user is qualified, and the flight complies with local regulations.

What control methods does DJI Neo support?
DJI Neo supports palm takeoff and landing, app control, voice control, camera control and motion controller control.*
*The latter two control options require the selection of a suitable kit with the drone or the additional purchase of a control apparatus or controller and goggles.
What smart recording modes DJI Neo offers?
DJI Neo offers a wide range of intelligent recording modes. For palm takeoff and landing and app-based control, modes such as Follow, Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight and Custom are available.*
If you control the drone with a standard control camera, DJI Neo supports multiple QuickShots modes.
*When DJI Neo is activated, the default Custom mode is DirectionTrack. You can connect your drone to the DJI Fly app via Wi-Fi to choose Helix or Boomerang instead.
What control apparatuses are compatible with DJI Neo?
Control instruments compatible with DJI Neo are: DJI RC 2 with built-in high-brightness screen, new instrument cluster DJI RC-N3 and its predecessor DJI RC-N2 requiring a connection to a smartphone and DJI RC Motion 3 enabling gesture control. For FPV enthusiasts, the following is available DJI FPV Remote Controller 3, offering precise real-time control. Each of these controllers provides different functions to suit the user's level of expertise.
Which goggles are compatible with DJI Neo?
DJI Neo is compatible with goggles DJI Goggles 3, which provide high image quality and in-flight immersion. With support for 1080p resolution at 60 or 50 frames per second, DJI Goggles 3 enables smooth and detailed first-person view (FPV) to enhance the flight experience.
Is it convenient to control DJI Neo using hand gestures?
Control from the palm of your hand is extremely easy. Even people without any experience with drones can quickly master the basics. DJI Neo can take off from your hand and land on it, and intelligently record video, identifying the object with its algorithms - all without the need for a control apparatus or other additional devices.
*Currently, only following people is supported. Tracking of other objects is not possible.
Can Neo reliably follow me during smart tracking DJI ?
Once DJI Neo tracks you using its algorithms, it will follow the trajectory of your movement and maintain a constant speed relative to you, recording video.*
*The maximum tracking speed is 6 m/s.
Does DJI Neo support Manual control mode?
Yes, DJI Neo can be used as a basic drone for flying in Manual mode. It is suitable for practicing throttle control, altitude maintenance and level flight, but not for continuous high-speed flight and activities requiring high maneuverability, such as Dive, Split-S, Power Loop and Yaw-Spin. Use caution when flying in M mode.
Does DJI Neo support obstacle avoidance?
No, to ensure safe flight, fly in an open area or within sight of each other. To fly beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), make sure the drone is in good working order, the user is competent, and the flight complies with applicable regulations.
What is the performance of the camera DJI Neo?
- DJI Neo offers quality 4K Ultra HD, which will meet the daily needs of recording and sharing videos.
- For video recording, the DJI Neo provides 4K/30FPS resolution and 1080p/60/50/30FPS, making it ideal for creating social media content.
- DJI The Neo also allows you to take 12 MP photos. What's more, if you use the app control, it automatically makes sure everyone fits in the group photo, eliminating the need to look for the person who takes the picture.
What image stabilization technologies does DJI Neo support?
DJI Neo supports technologies RockSteady and HorizonBalancing.
- If you control the drone using the DJI Fly app or the control camera, RockSteady and HorizonSteady are enabled simultaneously and cannot be turned off.
- If you are using a motion controller, you can turn on RockSteady, HorizonSteady or turn off stabilization altogether.
- When controlling the drone via the app or taking off and landing on the hand, the HorizonBalancing angle is ±30°. If, on the other hand, you are using a control apparatus or motion controller, it will be ±45°.
Does DJI Neo support offline Gyroflow stabilization?
Yes, when using the 4:3 aspect ratio, the footage recorded by DJI Neo is not stabilized, but it supports Gyroflow offline stabilization.
How to transfer files from DJI Neo to your phone or computer?
QuickTransfer:
- DJI Neo supports connecting to phone via Wi-Fi and browsing and transferring files using DJI Fly app. In this case, the maximum download speed is 25 MB/sec.*
- For optimum transmission performance, keep the drone and phone within 2 meters and with no obstructions between them.
- Connect DJI Neo to your computer with a data cable to view and transfer your content. You don't have to turn on the drone to use this capability.
What features are available when you connect DJI Neo with the DJI Fly app?
- Once you connect DJI Neo with the DJI Fly app, you can check the drone's live view, adjust recording parameters and quickly upload footage to your phone.
- You can also use your smartphone's built-in microphone to record audio and control the drone with voice commands.
- Once you've imported footage from DJI Neo into the app, you can add Glamour Effects to it or quickly edit the video.
What languages does DJI Neo support during voice control?
DJI Neo supports English and Mandarin. The language used depends on the system language of the connected phone (English or Chinese).
Can recordings captured by DJI Neo use Sky VFX effects in LightCut application?
Yes, recordings captured by DJI Neo can use Sky VFX effects in LightCut application. The LightCut app is compatible with drone video files DJI and offers a range of effects, including Sky VFX to add realistic effects to footage. This allows users to easily edit their videos, adding dynamic visual effects to enrich their quality and appeal.
What are the charging capabilities of DJI Neo? How long does it take to charge it to full?
There are two methods of charging DJI Neo batteries: via hub or directly from the drone.
- Using a 60-watt charger and dedicated hub, you can charge up to three batteries simultaneously.* It takes about 60 minutes to charge them from 0% to 100%.
- It takes about 50 minutes (from 0% to 100%) to directly charge the battery placed in the drone with the 30 W charger.
What features the charging hub offers DJI Neo?
- Charging: hub supports fast PD charging via USB and can charge three batteries simultaneously.
- Storage: hub allows you to store three batteries at the same time for easy transport and use.
- Powerbank: if there is at least one battery in the hub, you can use it as a powerbank and charge your phone, tablet or other devices via the USB-C port.
What chargers DJI are recommended for charging DJI Neo?
When charging with the hub, it is recommended to use the DJI 65W Portable Charger.
If you are charging the battery placed in the drone, you can use DJI 65W Portable Charger or DJI 30W USB-C Charger.
If you are charging the battery placed in the drone, you can use DJI 65W Portable Charger or DJI 30W USB-C Charger.
What is the maximum flight range of the drone DJI Neo?
- DJI Neo offers a maximum operational range up to 6 km with compatible equipment.
When connected with the phone via Wi-Fi, the operational range is 50 meters.
How long DJI Neo can fly on a single charge?
DJI The Neo offers up to 18 minutes of uninterrupted flight time on a single charge, allowing more than 20 takeoffs and landings from the palm of your hand. With the included charging hub, you can quickly charge as many as three batteries, allowing you to use your drone for longer without unnecessary interruptions.
What flight modes are available in DJI Neo?
DJI Neo offers six intelligent flight modes QuickShots, such as Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Helix and Boomerang, that allow you to quickly capture spectacular shots.
