The Skydio X2D drone is a solution for aerial reconnaissance and situational awareness. X2D is powered by Skydio Autonomy Enterprise, an artificial intelligence-based system that enables unrivaled obstacle avoidance and 360-degree tracking capabilities. In operational mode, an operator without extensive piloting experience can focus on the efficiency of collecting reconnaissance data .

In an environment without a GPS signal, the drone continues its autonomous flight and then returns to the designated location on its own. Thus meeting the highest short-range reconnaissance (SRR) requirements for the US Army.

The X2D is equipped with a reinforced foldable frame, GPS night flight mode, visible band and IR strobe and, depending on the version, a 12MP RGB/4K60P HDR camera with a wide-angle lens or a dual camera with a 12MP RGB sensor and a FLIR® 320x256 thermal sensor.
