DJI Inspire 2 with X5S camera or X7

DJI Inspire 2 Combo 5xs

The Inspire 2 is the little brother of the older version of the same device simply marked with the number 1. What we can expect from the news from DJI?

  • Increased top speed of up to 94 km/h,

  • A camera that allows recording in high resolutions, up to 5.2K,

  • Extended battery life for up to 27 minutes of continuous flight,

  • The drone's heating system, which allows the machine to be operated even when the temperature outside is lowered,

  • Vision system to detect obstacles even at a considerable distance from the drone,

  • Unique tracking mode- thanks to the Spotlight Pro algorithm, the drone is able to keep a given object in frame without additional help from the operator,

  • Intelligent flight mode-The Inspire 2 drone is equipped with multiple modes that allow the machine to automatically detect and avoid obstacles and make it easier to fly in difficult terrain.

The main difference in the cameras is the size of the sensor. Zenmuse X5S uses a Micro Four Thirds (MFT) sensor, while the Zenmuse X7- aPS-C sensor. From a physical point of view, the X7's sensor is about 50 percent larger than that of the X5S. Larger sensor area means better dynamic range and low light output.

DJI Phantom 4
Phantom 4

Admittedly, the Phantom 4 is not a technological novelty, as this drone was released back in 2016. However, we can still say that it is at the forefront of available UAVs. What are its technological specifications?

  • Smart return option-When a special function is activated, the drone automatically returns to the launch site,

  • Top speed of as much as 72 km/h,

  • A special gimbal to help stabilize the camera and take better shots,

  • Automated retention of a designated object in the frame,

  • Dual GPS-this makes it possible to pinpoint the drone's exact position in the field,

  • A camera capable of recording in 4 K resolution,

  • Tap Fly app-with this application, the drone will fly to the indicated place after the user clicks on it on the tablet screen.

DJI Phantom 4 Advanced or Pro

Phantom 4 Pro v2

Phantom 4 Pro compared to Phantom 4 Advanced has sensors that detect obstacles on 4 sides.

The Advanced model is a more powerful version of the standard Phantom 4, it offers m.in.:

  • 20 megapixel camera with a diagonal matrix of 1!,

  • Ability to film in 4K at 60 FPS,

  • Capable of storing photos and videos on microSD cards of up to 128 GB,

  • Extended battery life.

In addition to using all-inclusive, ready-made designs offered by the manufacturer, with the right knowledge, we can try to choose a set perfectly composed for our needs ourselves.

The basis for the ideal equipment may be the DJI 600 PRO platform combined with the Ronin MX gimbal. However, this is a solution offered only to specialists with extensive experience. This is if only because of the exorbitant price, which, of course, is associated with the outstanding capabilities of such a set characterized by np.:

  • The maximum weight of up to 6 kg,

  • Transmission range within 5 km,

  • Flight time-as long as 16- 38 minutes (it depends on the load of the drone),

  • The drone has as many as 6 rechargeable batteries,

  • Support for many popular camera models,

  • Modular design to allow changes in technical specifications of equipment.

The solutions proposed above are just an example of the most interesting equipment available today. We'd also like to point out that we've focused here only on equipment for professional use, so if you're just getting started with drone filming, we'd strongly recommend choosing semi-professional equipment. Only the Phantom 4 is still a drone for semi-professional use.
