Therefore, if the Auto Lock option is set to Fold & Lock, the gimbal will maintain a specific angle to allow storage regardless of the length of the roll axle arm. The roll axis is not equipped with the arm length detection function, which means that its identification is not possible. Therefore, DJI RS 4 Pro cannot be completely folded using the settings.

How to install LiDAR on a 1/4 inch cage screw hole?

What is bayonet distance?

Bayonet distance is the distance between the lens and the camera's image sensor. Since camera mounts may vary or adapters of different models may be used, the same lens may have different bayonet distances. As a result, after calibrating the lens in the DJI Ronin app, it is necessary to adjust the bayonet distance according to the actual view of the camera to eliminate focus discrepancies that may result from the use of different camera mounts or adapters.

When to adjust the bayonet distance?

If camera image remains unclear after lens calibration, try adjusting bayonet distance.

Adjustment method:

  1. To adjust the bayonet distance, it is recommended to use the focus card included in the kit as a photographic object.
  2. Observe the clarity of the camera's view relative to the focus card and access the bayonet distance adjustment page in the DJI Ronin app. Then make a fine adjustment by touching the + or - icon.
  3. When the camera view becomes clear, it means that the bayonet distance has been set correctly.
