How to use automatic axle locks DJI RS 4?
When DJI RS 4 is off, press and hold the power button and the three axes will unlock and unfold automatically. This way they will be ready to use within seconds. Press and hold the power button again to lock the axes and turn off DJI RS 4. During use, press the power button once and the axes will automatically lock and sleep mode will be activated. Press again to unlock and wake up the device. You can set the movement of automatic axis locks using the touch screen. How to use automatic axle locks DJI RS 4 Pro?
When DJI RS 4 Pro is off, press and hold the power button and the three axes will automatically unlock and unfold. This way they will be ready to go in seconds. Why DJI RS 4 Pro can't fold completely when Auto Lock is set to Fold & Lock?
When the roll axle arm is fully extended, it interferes with the pan axle arm during storage. Therefore, if the Auto Lock option is set to Fold & Lock, the gimbal will maintain a specific angle to allow storage regardless of the length of the roll axle arm. The roll axis is not equipped with the arm length detection function, which means that its identification is not possible. Therefore, DJI RS 4 Pro cannot be completely folded using the settings.
However, unlike the DJI RS 4 Pro, the DJI RS 4 can be completely assembled. When the roll axle arm DJI RS 4 is fully extended, it does not interfere with the pan axle arm during storage.
How to enable different gimbal modes on DJI RS 4 Pro?

Where manual lens calibration files are stored?
How many sets of lens calibration files can be saved? Can they be removed? Lens calibration files are stored in the DJI Focus Pro Motor. You can save up to three sets of lens calibration files. After connecting DJI Focus Pro LiDAR and DJI Focus Pro Motor to DJI RS 4 Pro, you can delete the calibration files in the lens calibration interface on the gimbal's touch screen.
How to upgrade DJI Focus Pro LiDAR software?
- Connect DJI Focus Pro to your computer using a USB-C cable, then turn on DJI Assistant 2 (Ronin Series) and log in to your account DJI.
- Click the LiDAR rangefinder icon to go to the update page, then wait for the list of available software versions to update.
- Select the software version you need and click Update. Then wait until the software is downloaded. Once the download is complete, DJI Focus Pro LiDAR will automatically perform the update process.
Can DJI Focus Pro LiDAR be used in conjunction with autofocus lenses?
Not. DJI Focus Pro LiDAR works only in combination with manual lenses.
Can DJI RS 4 Pro be used in conjunction with DJI Focus Pro LiDAR and DJI Transmission simultaneously?

What to do if photos are out of focus after calibrating a manual lens?
You can try the following steps:
- If you are calibrating a lens with DJI RS 4 Pro, check that the LiDAR installation range is compatible with the gimbal settings. On the other hand, if you calibrate the lens using the app, go to the distance adjustment page and adjust the focus so that the image is sharp.
- Recalibrate the lens. Make sure the subject is in focus from a distance of 1 m and 4 m.
- A hood or matte box attached to the lens can interfere with LiDAR signals and cause image focus problems. Try removing the hood or matte box, then calibrate the lens again.
- Longer lenses can also interfere with LiDAR signals and cause image sharpness problems. Try using a shorter lens and recalibrating.
What subject should be selected when calibrating a manual lens?
Aim for surfaces that scatter or strongly reflect light, such as cement walls, unpainted wood or unpolished stone. Do not target glass, metal surfaces or areas of pure blackness.

How can I determine if the Hand Unit and the Focus Pro Engine have been successfully connected?
You can determine whether the Hand Unit and the Engine have been successfully connected by observing the status indicator on both devices. Yellow light indicates that merging is in progress; red light indicates unsuccessful merging; green light indicates successful merging.
How to update firmware DJI Focus Pro Grip, Hand Unit, LiDAR and motor?
You can update the LiDAR firmware by connecting it to your computer and using DJI Assistant 2 (Ronin Series). You can upgrade your Handle or Hand Unit by connecting it to your smartphone and using the DJI Ronin app. For the Engine, connect it to the Handle or Hand Unit first, then update the firmware via the Handle or Hand Unit and the DJI Ronin app.
After proper installation of Focus Pro Holder DJI, LiDAR and Motor, if I replace the Motor, do I need to recalibrate the lens?

What is the priority of focus control with simultaneous use of Hand Unit DJI Focus Pro, Motor, LiDAR and Handle?
Hand Unit has the highest priority for focus control. When the Hand Unit is enabled, the Engine will first prioritize execution of commands from the Hand Unit.
What to do if the camera image is still not clear after lens calibration?
Make sure the installation distance and bayonet distance are correctly adjusted, then recalibrate the lens.
What the installation distance means?
Installation distance refers to the distance between the image sensor plane of the camera and the glass surface of the LiDAR.
How to measure installation distance for LiDAR?
Use the scale on the focus card to measure the distance from the camera image sensor plane to the LiDAR glass surface.
What are the differences between the LiDAR focus distance and the equivalent focal length of the camera image in 1x and 2x modes?
In 1x mode, the focus distance is from 0.5 meters to 10 meters with an equivalent focal length of 30 millimeters. With 2x magnification function enabled, the focus distance is from 0.5 meters to 20 meters.
Why does my LiDAR only focus to 10 meters at its farthest range?
How to reach a distance of 20 meters? By default, in 1x mode, the ToF LiDAR sensor operates within a detection range of up to 10 meters. To expand to a focus distance of 20 meters, you can press the + icon on the Handle screen to enable 2x magnification display.
What is the difference between LiDAR DJI Focus Pro and Find LiDAR Range DJI (RS)?
LiDAR DJI Focus Pro features longer detection range, more measurement points and smarter object recognition capabilities, resulting in a better focus experience.
What are the conditions for using LiDAR?
Should be used for diffusely reflective, large and highly reflective objects (reflectivity > 10%). Not suitable for direct focusing on glass surfaces or for use in heavy smoke or foggy conditions.
How to install LiDAR on a 1/4 inch cage screw hole?
First, use a flathead screwdriver to remove the 1/4-inch screw from the LiDAR mounting plate. Then remove the cold foot plate and fix the LiDAR in the screw hole on the cage, using a 1/4 inch screw. In addition, for the convenience of users, the 1/4-inch screw on the LiDAR mounting plate is not secured by a thread locking device. If you notice any loosening during use, you can tighten the screw with a flathead screwdriver.
What if close-range LiDAR focusing is inaccurate in the area of the minimum distance supported by the lens?
It is recommended to use the manual calibration method. Calibrate at a distance of 0.5 meters at the first calibration point (0.5 to 1.5 meters). This allows for more accurate focusing at close range.
How to calibrate to make long-distance focusing more accurate?
It is recommended to use the two-point calibration method. Calibrate at a distance of 5 meters at the second calibration point (4 to 5 meters). This allows for more accurate focusing over long distances.
In wide mode, what the different colors of the smart recognition field mean?
- The white field indicates a recognized object on which attention is constantly focused.
- The gray box indicates a recognized object that is not currently in focus.
- The yellow field indicates the recognized object on which the focus is closed.
- The red box indicates an object that is about to lose its tracking status.
How to use the Holder to control camera recording via Bluetooth?
Turn on the Bluetooth function on both the camera and the Holder, then press to connect them. Once successfully connected, the Handle can be used to control camera recording. Does the mount support power from other batteries?
The mount supports power only from the BG21 battery holder, which is interchangeable with the battery holders for DJI RS 3 and DJI RS 4.

What to do if the battery in the Handheld Unit is difficult to remove or cannot be removed?
Due to the significant differences in the specifications of NP-F550 batteries in the market, if you encounter a situation where it is difficult to remove or cannot be removed, try tapping gently on the Hand Unit to extract the battery pack.
How to use Hand Unit to control camera recording via Bluetooth?

When you press and hold the trigger to adjust the attenuation, the Hand Unit automatically saves its last set focus position. When the adjustment is complete, the Hand Unit will automatically return to this memorized focus position.
How to connect the Hand Unit to the Focus Pro Engine?
Hold down the M button on the Handheld Unit to start linking, or go to the touch screen settings interface and select Link Motor to enter linking mode. You can also hold down the function button on the Engine to start the connection process.
How to use the Hand Unit to calibrate the Focus Pro Engine?
By pressing the trigger and the M button simultaneously, you can quickly calibrate the Motor.
What is the radio frequency (RF) range of the Hand Unit? Will it be interfered with by RF devices such as video transmission systems?
The Hand Unit operates in the 2.4GHz RF band and there is a possibility that it may be interfered with by other devices operating in the 2.4GHz band.
If you use it with the Monitor DJI High-Bright Remote, make sure the monitor's RF bandwidth setting is 5.8GHz/DFS to minimize the chances of interference.
How to set and clear A/B points?
Press the A/B button once to set point A, then rotate the focus knob to the desired distance and press the A/B button again to set point B. To clear the A/B points, press the A/B button again.
What is the function of the trigger on the back of the Hand Unit?
- Press and hold the trigger to quickly adjust the damping of the Hand Unit.
- When using LiDAR for focus assist, trigger can be used to lock on focus subject.
What is the function of the electronic contact plate on top of the Hand Unit?
Electronic contact board allows connection to the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor using the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor Holder.
What are the battery discharge requirements for Hand Unit?
To ensure proper operation of the Hand Unit, it is recommended to use batteries capable of discharging with a current of more than 2.5 A and maintaining a voltage of not less than 6.3 V in an ambient temperature range of -20° to 45° C (-4° to 113° F).
Does the Focus Pro engine support reverse rotation? How do I set this up?
The motor supports reverse rotation, which can be set using the touch screen on the Handheld or Handheld Unit.
- Handle:
Swipe up from the bottom of the touchscreen home page to enter the Handle settings interface. Enable the Reverse Dial function, and the direction of rotation of the Motor will be reversed accordingly. - Hand Unit:
Swipe down from the top of the touchscreen home page to enter the settings interface. Select Invert Function Buttons Direction to set the inverted control direction for the focus knob, aperture slider and zoom lever.
Does the Focus Pro engine support external power sources?
The motor is compatible with external batteries for power supply, and the supported voltage range is 2S-4S (7.4-14.4 V). It is recommended to use the official D-TAP to USB-C power cable to connect to external batteries.
What is the purpose of FIZ stickers?
FIZ stickers can be applied to different engines to distinguish their functions.
What the different indicator lights on the Focus Pro engine mean?
- Red Steady Light: On, but not connected.
- Green Steady Light: On and successfully connected.
- Yellow Steady Light: In the process of merging.
- Blinking Red or Green: Motor operating range has not been calibrated
How to switch between F, I and Z channels on the Focus Pro Engine?
Simply press the Engine function button to switch between F, I and Z channels.
Where the lens calibration files (data) are stored?

What is bayonet distance?
Bayonet distance is the distance between the lens and the camera's image sensor. Since camera mounts may vary or adapters of different models may be used, the same lens may have different bayonet distances. As a result, after calibrating the lens in the DJI Ronin app, it is necessary to adjust the bayonet distance according to the actual view of the camera to eliminate focus discrepancies that may result from the use of different camera mounts or adapters.
When to adjust the bayonet distance?
If camera image remains unclear after lens calibration, try adjusting bayonet distance.
Adjustment method:
- To adjust the bayonet distance, it is recommended to use the focus card included in the kit as a photographic object.
- Observe the clarity of the camera's view relative to the focus card and access the bayonet distance adjustment page in the DJI Ronin app. Then make a fine adjustment by touching the + or - icon.
- When the camera view becomes clear, it means that the bayonet distance has been set correctly.
