As of April 4, 2024. drone pilots and operators can use the new KSID portal. It replaces existing drones page.ulc.gov.pl and in the first phase of implementation offers a number of facilities, m.in.:

  • easy registration of drone operators and pilots
  • digital data management, e.g., about drone ownership and policies
  • access to information on ULC permits
  • possibility to apply for permits
  • e-learning platform with courses and exams in subcategories A1, A2 and A3 open category
  • communication with ULC employees

Flight reporting app coming soon

KSID is part of the "Digital Services for BSP" project, which aims to digitize and improve the drone market in Poland. The project is implemented with the support of funds from the European Union under the Operational Programme Digital Poland 2014-2020 and also includes tools to support state institutions in rescue operations and ensuring public safety. The agency also plans to introduce more innovations, such as drone Tower application for reporting drone flights and KSID Mission Wizard for flight mission planning.

Future plans:

  • CoTuLata - allows any citizen to verify what BSP flights have been reported to the system in his neighborhood
  • Mission Builder KSID - mission planning tool
  • System DTM Autonomy - support for advanced BSP flights
  • e-SORA - facilitating the preparation of documents to the CAA for non-standard flights in Cat. particular

KSID mobile app for smartphones will also be available soon - Drone Tower - as the official ICT system for reporting check-in, i.e. the intention to fly a drone. At this moment, the exact date of implementation of the system is not known.
