Best drones 2026 - drone ranking

Recent months in the drone market have been really mega - manufacturers have listened to the needs of users and made them a reality.Effect?Models refined, more complete and improved over previous generations. At the same time, we realize that the choice of drones today is huge: from simple, lightweight "vacation" drones, to automatic "selfie drones," to advanced tools for industrial work.

If you're considering a purchase, such a number of options can get quite confusing, which is why we have prepared a ranking of the best drones 2026 in several segments to make the choice as easy as possible. We took into account not only the price and capabilities of the equipment, but also our tests, reviews and user feedback - so that you can quickly find the model best suited to how and where you want to fly.

Drones up to 250 g

Best Drones up to 250g

Drones up to 250g are the most common choice when looking for a first drone, which at the same time will allow you to record in very good quality and maintain a reasonable flight time. This segment combines ease of use, mobility and, in addition, in the C0 class, you can fly after free operator registration. That's why it's great both on trips and for everyday filming. In this category we present 3 models from DJI:

DJI Mini 5 Pro - is the most advanced drone up to 250g, offering 4K/60FPS recording on a large 1-inch sensor and extensive color profiles for processing. The flight time reaches approx.30 minutes, and modern transmission O4+ and omni-directional obstacle avoidance sensors provide a high level of safety and flying comfort. An ideal choice for gadgeteers and people who care about the highest possible quality in this class.

DJI Mini 3 - is the model that has consistently reigned supreme in terms of value for money for several years now .It offers 4K/30 FPS recording and flight time reaching up to approx.35 minutes, which, combined with simple operation, makes it a great choice for those looking for a solid drone for everyday filming without overpaying. The model is as simplified as possible, with no sensors or tracking functions, which positively affects its shape and allows it to remain stably in the air.At the same time, it retains safety functions like RTH, i.e. return to the starting point.

DJI Mini 4k - is a very affordable option.Ideal for undecided people who don't know if they will get into the hobby or people who need reliable equipment at a low price. It offers 4K/30FPS recording , simple operation and flight time up to approx.25 minutes. If you are able to turn a blind eye to the quality of the shots, or will mainly be displayed on small screens, it is still a good choice.Maintains high stability both in flight and in shots, also has a return home function, when losing signal.

Drones with advanced automatic functions

A subgroup of models up to 250g, which are distinguished by maximum simplification of operation. What this means in practice? If you want souvenirs of your vacation in the form of spectacular aerial shots, but don't want to learn how to fly and manually control it, these drones will do it for you - they will take off on their own, set the frame, track and finish recording - you just need to choose the right mode.

DJI Neo 2 - an ultralight drone under 250 g , which records in 4K and is designed for fully autonomous shots without classic flying. With intelligent tracking and pre-programmed flight modes, the drone performs the recordings itself, and flight time up to approx.16 minutes completely sufficient for quick shots of vacations, sports or daily activities. Here, we point out that you can also choose the FPV version to fly it for sport with goggles, or with a standard controller, however, when the urge to control it strikes you.Compared to the previous version, the DJI Neo, there is a very big jump in the quality and stabilization of shots.Compared to PROMAX's HoverAir X1, the Neo 2 has 49 GB of built-in memory and does not support memory cards.Tracking quality and how it handles more difficult conditions (after hooking into an obstacle, it tries to continue flying) is a definite plus for this model.

HOVERAir X1 PROMAX - a fully autonomous drone under 250g , which records in up to 8K/30FPS (when controlled manually) and 4K/60FPS (autonomously). The flight time is approx.16 minutes, and with ready-made modes (Follow, Orbit, Dolly, Hover), the drone takes off, records, and lands on the hand itself. The drone has 64GB of built-in memory and expandable via memory cards.PROMAX's HoverAir X1 does very well with tracking, but it is worth noting that snagging an obstacle interrupts the tracking process.Compared to the competing DJI Neo 2, the recording quality is noticeably better however in tracking Hover performs a tad worse.

Industrial drones

DJI Matrice 400 - platform which, offers an impressive flight time of 59 minutes, a payload capacity of up to 6 kg and integrated rotating LiDAR and mmWave radar.Top-of-the-line features to detect obstructions at the power line level. The system also supports O4 Enterprise Enhanced Video Transmission and Airborne Relay, providing safer and easier operation. With a combination of Smart Detection with visual and thermal imaging, AR projection, ship takeoff and landing capabilities, and advanced automation, the Matrice 400 is perfect for rescue, energy inspections, or mapping.

FPV drones

Analog or digital? The eternal battle between speed and low latency and image quality and HD viewing comfort. In this overview, we present the most interesting models from both groups:

BetaFPV Aquila 20 HD - compact FPV drone with digital HD video transmission , which gives high quality goggle viewing.Delays are low enough to fly comfortably, even in more demanding maneuvers.Range and penetration is surprisingly good for a model on such a price shelf.2-inch design and flight time ok.4-8 minutes make it a great choice for learning FPV.Deciding on this model, you have all the kit you need to make flights and in addition, everything is packed in a sturdy case.

DJI Avata 2 - digital FPV drone from DJI.It combines all the strengths of the brand ie.solid transmission, range, very high quality recording and stabilization. In addition, we have access to functions such as holding position, returning home when the signal is lost, and a panic button that stops the drone in place. In terms of video, we have a 1/1.3" sensor , allowing recording in 4K/60 FPS with HDR.The flight time reaches approx.18 minutes, which is an amazing result for an FPV drone.A drone for people who know what they want.In terms of behavior in the air compared to a race FPV, it leaves a little to be desired, while it definitely makes up for the quality and ease of use of the equipment.

BetaFPV Pavo20 Pro - compact 2-inch drone , designed for digital video transmission (DJI O4) and 4K/120FPS recording . With its shielded propellers and stable flight, it's great for precision shots in tight spaces, and flight time is approx.6-8 minutes, which is a very good result for this class of cinematic drones. In the set we offer, there is a drone with a mounted O4, all accessories such as battery, goggles, controller must be purchased separately. If you're just getting started with FPV, see our post where we explain the basics.Below are the most frequently selected parts for a complete set:

BetaFPV Air65 - analog whoop, made for racing and mainly flying indoors, although it does surprisingly well outdoors too. The finished model of BetyFPV , uses analog image transmission and ELRS 2.4 GHz , offering very low latency, and flight time is about.3-4 minutes. The perfect drone for exercise and when the weather outside the window is not so good.As with the previous model, here, too, you need to get the necessary accessories like a battery, goggles, and a controller.Below is an example of a ready-to-fly kit:

  • Goggles - BetaFPV VR03 are budget and good goggles to start with. There's also a high-end, more forward-thinking option (for those who are confident or already operating heavily with FPV) Skyzone SKY04X PRO , offer better range, a ton of customization and amenities
  • Controller - Radiomaster Pocket or LiteRadio 3 or LiteRadio 3 Pro , very similar options, pocket has a little more configuration options. It is worth choosing a controller that will be more convenient for daily use
  • Battery - Lava 1S 260 mAh battery with a smaller capacity will allow for shorter but more energetic flights, or BetaFPV 1S 300 mAh - longer but less energetic flights
  • Charger - VIFLY WhoopStor 3 allows simultaneous charging and discharging of up to 6 batteries. You can also set the voltage suitable for storage, so as to safely store batteries
