Freewell 16mm Wide-Angle Lens with 17mm Mount

Take your smartphone photography and video to the next level with the Freewell 16mm wide-angle lens with 17mm mount. Designed for hobbyists, mobile creators, and anyone who wants a wider, more dynamic frame, this lens delivers an impressive 105° field of view that makes it easy to capture landscapes, architecture, group shots, and vlog footage.

The lens is built for smartphones cases and rigs with a 17mm threaded mount, ensuring a secure and stable connection to your phone’s main 1x camera. An additional 58mm filter thread lets you attach compatible photo and video filters, giving you even more creative control over every shot.

Why choose this lens?

• 16mm focal length for a noticeably wider perspective
• 105° field of view ideal for landscapes, architecture, vlogging, and group photos
• 17mm threaded mount for compatibility with selected smartphone cases and rigs
• 58mm filter thread for using ND, CPL, and other creative filters
• Minimum focusing distance of 0.5m for added flexibility in everyday shooting
• Nano Fusion coating to help reduce glare and light flares while improving contrast

Capture more in every frame

With its 16mm equivalent focal length and ultra-wide 105° viewing angle, this lens allows you to fit much more into the shot than a standard smartphone camera. It is a great choice for sweeping outdoor scenes, city photography, travel content, and handheld video. It also works brilliantly in tighter spaces where stepping back simply is not an option.

Flexible focusing from close range

The Freewell lens can focus from approximately 0.5 meters, making it useful not only for wide scenic shots but also for more detailed compositions captured at a shorter distance. This added versatility makes it easier to switch between broad, cinematic frames and closer everyday shots without changing your creative flow.

Clear, contrast-rich image quality

The built-in Nano Fusion optical coating helps minimize reflections and unwanted flares while improving light transmission. In real-world use, this means a cleaner image, stronger contrast, and better overall clarity in a variety of lighting conditions. Your photos and videos keep their natural colors and fine detail, whether you shoot indoors or outdoors.

Use your favorite 58mm filters

One of the standout features of this lens is the 58mm front filter thread. It gives you the freedom to use a wide range of compatible filters, including ND and CPL filters, so you can better match the look of your footage to the lighting conditions or your personal shooting style.
