The UC4200 charger is designed for maximum compatibility - it can charge any Ni-MH batteries in sizes: R6 AA, R03 AAA, R14 C, SC, R20 D and 9V batteries. In addition, the UC4200 also supports Li-ion batteries with a voltage of 3.6/3.7V, their high-voltage alternative - Li-HV, whose rated voltage is 3.85V, and Li-FePO4 batteries. In the case of Lithium-based batteries, the charger will support the following sizes: 10440, 14500, 14650, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18500, 18650, 20700, 21700 - also protected, 22650, 25500, 26500, 26650, 3 2650, 33600, 16340 R- CR123e. The maximum span of the sled is up to 76 mm , which will enable charging the increasingly popular 20700 and 21700 batteries in the version with electronic protection.

Li-ion/Li-HV and LiFePO4 batteries are charged very accurately using the CC/CV method with termination at approximately 100mA. This guarantees complete safety and full charging of every battery, even a severely degraded or low capacity one.

Ni-MH and 9V batteries are charged using the CC method (constant current) with very precise dV/PVD detection - charging is completed only when the maximum voltage on the battery is reached (the value of this voltage may be different for each battery).

In addition, the charger is equipped with a number of protections such as:

• before reloading,
• against excessive discharging of cells,
• short circuit / overload,
• thermal,
• against reverse polarity of cells
