Cooling Performance

According to temperature tests, at a maximum RF output of 500 mW for 30 minutes, the RF chip temperature can be kept below 50°C, while the case stays around 30°C. This shows the module can operate properly in normal day-to-day use without major temperature concerns when proper cooling is in place.

For the black version running at up to 1 W, the temperature can be kept below 65°C with the help of a heatsink. Test results also show that the RGB LED temperature is around 10°C higher for both the 500 mW and 1 W RF modules, which is why using a cooling fan is highly recommended in these setups.

Tests also showed that the temperature difference on the JR case depends on the fan airflow direction, although this does not affect the electronic components inside the module.
