DJI Care Refresh - basic information

Insurance DJI Care Refresh is a protection from the manufacturer that insures our device (drone / gimbal / camera) against damage resulting from misuse or random events (collision, signal interference, accident, drowning*). Under the policy, we have the option of replacing the damaged unit with a new one twice within 12 months. Then an additional relatively small fee is charged.

DJI Care Refresh + - insurance renewal

More than once we have encountered the question - "What about after this year of insurance?". To date, the manufacturer has not provided for the possibility of extending the duration of protection, which was met with dissatisfaction by users. After all, not everyone is a collector of drones or gimbals enough to buy another model every year.
DJI has finally decided to meet our expectations and from July 2020. we have the option to roll over the insurance for another 12 months.

DJI Care Refresh + - renewal terms and conditions

With Care Refresh+, the terms and conditions for enrolling a DJI device in the protection plan are slightly different than with standard DJI Care activation. As a reminder, we can activate Care Refresh insurance up to 48 hours after activating the device by entering the code on the manufacturer's website.
In the event that 48 hours have passed, we can still hook up security, but then a recording is required documenting the impeccable condition of the device.

Conditions of Care Refresh + insurance - possible scenarios

For DJI drones, the way to activate insurance renewal varies depending on the status of the current Care Refresh plan.
  1. We still have active DJI Care Refresh insurance with at least one unused replacement. In that case, the activation of the Refresh+ extension is done through the activation page.
  2. The duration of Care Refresh insurance has ended, but Has NOT exceeded 30 days. In this situation, you will need to record a verification video and submit it via the form at dJI website. Care Refresh + is activated after successful verification by the manufacturer.
  3. Insurance stopped more than 30 days ago. In this case, the possibility of activating Refresh + exists ONLY UNTIL 08/08/2020! Then make a video as in point 2.
After 08/08/2020. if 30 days have passed since the end of Care Refresh, it is not possible to purchase Care Refresh + .

For DJI cameras and gimbals, only point 1 applies.

Refresh+ terms and conditions - important information

  • To insure your DJI device you need to ALWAYS purchase DJI Care Refresh first. Only when we have Care Refresh basic insurance can we use the DJI Care Refresh+ plan!
  • As part of the Refresh + insurance renewal, the following applies ONLY ONE REPLACEMENT!
  • In order to receive a new product from DJI as part of DJI Care Refresh +, we must FINALLY deliver the damaged device. *For example, in the case of drowning, they should be fished out!

Reservations. DJI Care Refresh and Refresh + do not include:

1) Lost or partially lost drone, gimbal or accessories.

2) Theft or abandonment of the product.

3) Damage caused by flying in inappropriate weather conditions.

4) Transmitter, additional accessories.

5) Deliberate loss of the drone.

6) Damage to the housing that does not affect the operation of the product.

7) Direct or indirect damage caused by acts of God.

8) Defects occurring outside the validity period of DJI Care Refresh.

9) Additional fees related to improving the model, improving its performance.

10) Defects resulting from carrying out modifications that do not comply with the recommendations found in the user's manual or from using incompatible batteries and charger.

11) Defects resulting from the use of unauthorized accessories, batteries or software.
