Comparison | DJI Lito 1 and DJI Lito X1 vs DJI Mini series

23.04.2026 DJI unveiled a new series of drones - DJI Lito. Are we dealing here with an entirely new category of equipment, or rather with models that are intended to be a response to the well-known Mini series? Are these drones making a real difference, or rather a slightly refreshed concept for beginners and less demanding users? In the following article, we take a closer look at the new models and see how they compare to popular miniacs.

DJI Mini series - a proven choice among drones up to 250g

The DJI Mini series - a proven choice among drones up to 250g - DJI Mini 5 Pro

It's been 7 years since the launch of the first drone DJI Mini.It flew solidly and recorded in a way that few people expected at the time.Of course, it was not ideal - the range was hopeless, and the old controller was definitely not one of the most comfortable.Even so, it was hard to complain about it, because for such a small drone it really offered a lot, and that was impressive.

Scroll down to the present and the market is awash with different installments of the Mini series - from DJI Mini 4K to Mini 5 Pro.All of these drones perform very well in the air, and record video that satisfies the needs of most people uploading material to social media and beyond. So why the price differences? It is worth paying attention not only to the model itself, but also to the kit - whether it has additional batteries in the Fly More Combo version and whether the set includes controller with a built-in screen, such as DJI RC or DJI RC 2.

To begin with, you can start with a real killer, because if someone is looking for the the best drone up to 250g, it will be DJI Mini 5 Pro.It has an inch matrix, which gives a highly detailed image, and omnidirectional sensors enriched with LiDAR system enable advanced obstacle detection and tracking modes. An additional advantage for many people will be the ability to position the camera vertically, without losing quality and without the need for subsequent editing.

At the other end of the spectrum we have DJI Mini 4K - a drone that simply flies, records decently, the image doesn't shake, and that's basically what it's based on.There are no fireworks here, but it also smells "Chinese." It's just a solidly made drone, whose image quality is sufficient for the average amateur image viewer in the age of fast-scrolling and scrolling content.

Best drone for launch?DJI Lito 1 vs DJI Mini 4K

Best drone for launch?DJI Lito 1 vs DJI Mini 4K

Already having a point of reference and knowing where DJI Mini 4K sits in the Mini series, we can move on to compare it with the new DJI Lito 1.Both drones fall into the C0 class, which means there is no need for additional training or certification. However, it is worth remembering that you still need to register as an operator at drones.gov.en.

DJI Mini 4K is a proven designthat has been on the market for a long time.It offers stable 4K-quality recordings, simple operation and a robust flight time of up to 31 minutes. It's a good choice for those looking for the simplest and hassle-free drone possible for occasional aerial footage.

In contrast, DJI Lito 1 introduces a more modern approach. In addition to recording in 4K and taking 48 MP photos, it has a more open aperture, so it may perform a tad better in more challenging lighting conditions. It also offers omni-directional obstacle detection system and more powerful intelligent modessuch as ActiveTrack and MasterShots. This gives the beginner the opportunity to record a solid shot, without having to practice smooth flights for a long time.

In terms of flight time, both models present a similar level - about 30-36 minutes - however, the Lito 1 offers a bit more freedom with its newer transmission system and a range of up to 8 km.The difference, however, arises in terms of security. The Mini 4K mainly uses bottom vision sensors, while the Lito 1 offers a multi-directional obstacle detection system, which can be important for those without experience. However, it is worth noting that the sensors will not save you from flying at full speed into a tree, nor will they notice small branches or ropes, therefore, they should be treated as a support and not something to be blindly trusted.

The choice between these models comes down to user expectations. If you want the most simple, proven solution possible, DJI Mini 4K will be a safe choice. If, on the other hand, you want more advanced features and greater in-flight support from the start, DJI Lito 1 offers noticeably more capabilities while remaining a beginner-friendly drone.

Does the new model DJI have an advantage?DJI Lito X1 vs DJI Mini 3

Does the new model DJI have an advantage?DJI Lito X1 vs DJI Mini 3

DJI Mini 3 is a drone that has long held the position of king of value for money. It offers very good image quality thanks to its 1/1.3 inch sensor, 4K HDR recording and a long flight time of up to 38 minutes. This is a model that stands out for its ease of use and stability of operation, while at the same time already offering considerable creative possibilities - especially thanks to the mode of vertical recording, which is great for social media.

DJI The Lito X1 goes a step further and makes some significant improvements. It too uses a sensor 1/1.3 inch, but offers a wider range of recording capabilities - including 4K/60FPS HDR, slow motion at 4K/100FPS, or the 10-bit D-Log M profileprofile, which gives more freedom in post-production.This is already a level that allows you to create really solid material, and at the same time it begins to dangerously close in quality to DJI Mini 5 Pro.

However, the biggest difference comes in terms of safety and flight automation.DJI The Mini 3 mainly uses lower sensors and stabilization systems, while the Lito X1 offers an omni-directional obstacle detection system, further supported by a front LiDAR sensor. This also translates into intelligent functions - from object tracking (ActiveTrack), to automatic flight modes. In addition, the Lito X1 offers 42 GB built-in memory, which eliminates the need for a microSD card in basic applications.

In terms of flight time, both models stand at a very high level - the Mini 3 offers up to 38 minutes, while Lito X1 offers up to 36 minutes. At the same time, for the first time in a long time, DJI is officially launching in Europe extended batteries that extend the flight time of the Lito X1 up to 52 minutes (the drone is then class C1), bravo.

So does the new model DJI have an advantage? In many ways, yes - especially when it comes to flight safety, smart features and image work capabilities.DJI The Mini 3, however, remains a very solid and proven choice for those who value simplicity and don't need such extensive features. However, if you want to go a level higher and have more control over your shots and more support for your systems in flight, DJI Lito X1 will clearly be the more forward-thinking choice.

Summary

No big fireworks here. The new DJI Lito series is very much the well-known Mini series, only dressed in fresher packaging and slightly tweaked. It's good that the plus version batteries, this is a change that can actually be felt.On the other hand, add-ons such as sensors, LiDAR or built-in memory are no longer surprising, as we have already seen similar things in the Neo series. On the other hand, looking at the current development of technology, it is hard to expect revolutions, especially at a price of 250 g.
