Based on real pilot feedback gathered during beta testing, the Pavo Pico frame has been refined with a lower-profile battery bay, improved camera protection, and support for camera filters. Pavo Pico Frame Kit

The HD VTX mounting bracket is made from ultra-light PP material to keep weight down while improving toughness. Antenna mounting slots are integrated directly into the frame to reduce the risk of damage in crashes. The camera mounting height has also been lowered, and a printed protective part limits the camera angle to 30°, adding extra security during flight.

You can also install a DJI O3 filter to protect the lens and enhance image quality. Combined with rubber vibration dampers and stabilization software like GyroFlow, the frame is built to help deliver cleaner, smoother HD footage. When tightening screws, avoid overtightening so the dampers can properly absorb vibration and help reduce jello.

DJI O3 Vibration Solution

To solve vibration issues common in many whoop-style drones, the DJI O3 unit is mounted on a carbon fiber plate supported by four rubber dampers. This smart design improves stability and helps the HD system perform at its best, especially when capturing onboard footage.

Troubleshooting Tips:

• If the VTX mount is tightened too much, the rubber dampers may deform. Tighten the screw only until it touches the damper, leaving a little play.
• If the frame or propellers are heavily deformed, replace the damaged part to help reduce vibration.

Upgraded Low-Profile Design

Pilots can further customize their cinewhoop using DIY options such as battery straps or printed accessories, making it easier to use a wider range of battery sizes.

Flight Controller Compatibility

The flight controller was upgraded from the F4 1S 12A AIO FC V3 to the F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1. The newer controller features a 25A burst ESC for more stable operation, even during motor stall situations. It also adds a 9V 2A BEC for stable DJI O3 HD VTX performance at lower battery voltage.

A new 6-pin DJI O3 PMU module enables solder-free HD VTX connection. The controller also includes 16MB blackbox memory and support for GPS, external receivers, and other accessories. Updated solder pad placement and a relocated USB port make installation and maintenance easier.

Note: The second FC batch started in August 2023. On the F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1, the SBUS receiver serial port is UART5, while on the F4 1S 12A AIO Brushless FC V3 it is UART6.

The extended end-mounted USB port also makes tuning and wiring more convenient, while the new 6-pin DJI O3 PMU module simplifies installation and maintenance.
