What distinguishes it from competing solutions is that it operates at low volume for the first 40 seconds, then at full volume for 2 hours, giving a beep every 4 seconds. In the last phase, it broadcasts a maximum beep every 10 seconds until the battery is exhausted.

This makes it so that a drone propped up on a desk doesn't immediately roar at full volume waking the dead, as other buzzers tend to do. Reducing the frequency of beeping after 2 hours, extends its battery life.
