Kimpok KP-T5816 is a compact 5.8GHz analog FPV video transmitter designed for hobbyists building drones, RC models, and custom FPV setups. With 48 channels, adjustable RF output up to 1.6W, IRC Tramp support, and a wide 7–36V input range, it gives you the flexibility to fine-tune your video link for everything from short-range testing to more demanding flights.

Its lightweight design, MMCX antenna connector, and 30.5 x 30.5 mm mounting pattern make integration easy in many FPV frames. The built-in aluminum heatsink and cooling fan help keep temperatures under control when running at higher power levels.

Adjustable Power Up to 1.6W

The Kimpok KP-T5816 lets you choose from four RF power levels, so you can match transmission strength to your flying environment and setup requirements. Whether you are tuning on the bench, flying locally, or pushing for a stronger analog video link, this VTX gives you practical power options.

• 25mW – ideal for setup, testing, and close-range use
• 400mW – a solid everyday option for many FPV builds
• 800mW – stronger signal for more challenging conditions

• PIT mode – activated by holding the power button for longer

The selected power level is indicated by the green LED: one blink for 25mW, two for 400mW, three for 800mW, and four for 1600mW. In PIT mode, the green LED stays on.

48 Channels Across the 5.8GHz Band

Operating in the 5362–5945 MHz range, the KP-T5816 supports 48 channels across 6 bands: A, B, E, F, R, and L. This gives you plenty of room to match your receiver, reduce interference, and run multiple FPV systems more easily in the same area.

IRC Tramp Support and Easy Button Control

The transmitter supports IRC Tramp, allowing you to integrate it with a compatible flight controller and manage VTX settings directly in your FPV system. This is especially useful when the module is installed in a hard-to-reach spot and you want to change settings without taking the build apart.

You can also control the unit directly using the onboard buttons. The channel/band button changes frequency settings, while the power button switches RF output levels and activates PIT mode.

• Blue LED – indicates the selected frequency band
• Green LED – shows RF power level and PIT mode status

Cooling System and Overheat Protection

Higher-power VTX operation generates heat, so the KP-T5816 uses an aluminum heatsink and a built-in cooling fan to improve thermal performance. This helps maintain more stable operation during longer sessions and higher output power settings.

The unit also features thermal protection. If the module temperature exceeds 100°C, RF power is automatically reduced by one level. If the temperature remains too high, the transmitter can continue stepping down output until it reaches 25mW. Once the temperature drops below 95°C, the VTX returns to the previously selected power level.
