A guide to important FPV drone abbreviations and terms
Cetus beginner's kit is the perfect choice to start your FPV adventure. It is a worthy successor to the BetaFPV Starter Kit model, which received a number of very significant changes. The main ones are the function of maintaining altitude, emergency landing and improved design. It's inexpensive and easy to use, and thus straightforwardly ideal for learning the basics of controlling a racing drone. The kit includes the drone, LiteRadio2 SE radio, VR02 goggles and other accessories necessary for fun.
The drone's barometer and laser sensor allow it to maintain a constant, stable flight altitude even when you let go of the controls. This is a great convenience for those making their first flights and learning to control drones efficiently . With this feature, beginners can focus on practicing new skills without worrying about crashing the drone. Altitude hold function is available in N mode for novices.
Automatic emergency landing mode takes care of the safety of the drone in situations of battery discharge or loss of flight control. The latter is especially useful when you want to move the drone further away from the launch site to explore the surroundings. The drone is also equipped with safety features to prevent the Cetus from burning up in the event of strong collisions with obstacles.
The drone is comfortable to operate regardless of the user's skill with three available flight modes - N, S and M for novices, beginners and already slightly more experienced pilots.
The ability to increase or decrease the level of difficulty of operation with a single movement is provided by the SB switch. The drone also offers three speeds, which can be changed using the SC switch.
LiteSilver software was installed on the 1S pro FC controller with integrated FrSky D8 receiver, VTC 25mW transmitter, barometer, laser and optical sensor. Soft developed by BetaFPV for whoop drones is based on FreeRTOS platform. With it, you will soon be able to customize the controller's parameters to suit your needs.
BetaFPV, in addition to the interesting Cetus drone, also presents newer goggles that are lighter making them very comfortable to use. Thoughtful layout of buttons and comfortable strap add to the pleasure of flying. Due to its small size, unfortunately, it is not possible to use the goggles with corrective glasses on.
NOTES:
The drone does not have a class identification label, but it meets the conditions of class C0, i.e. weight less than 250g and maximum speed of 19 m/sec. This drone is aimed at customers who intend to operate in the open category, subcategory A1 performing flights with an observer or in the special category with NSTS privileges. The drone can also be used at home without the need for a license.
