BetaFPV Nano TX Radio Module - ELRS 915 MHz

BETAFPV Nano TX Radio Module – ELRS 915 MHz
The BETAFPV Nano TX ELRS 915 MHz is a compact, high-performance radio transmitter module based on the open-source ExpressLRS project. Built for RC pilots who want fast response, low latency, and dependable long-range performance, it is a great choice for FPV freestyle, long-range flying, and everyday hobby use.
ExpressLRS is known for delivering one of the fastest RC links available while still maintaining impressive range and link reliability. If you are looking for a lightweight nano module for your compatible radio, this setup offers an excellent balance of performance, flexibility, and easy configuration.

Radio Compatibility
The BETAFPV Nano RF module is compatible with radios that feature a nano module bay (also called a lite module bay). This includes popular transmitters such as the FrSky Taranis X-Lite, FrSky Taranis X9D Lite, and TBS Tango 2.

Important: Always install the antenna before powering on the module. Running the Nano TX without an antenna can permanently damage the PA chip.
Firmware and Updates
The factory firmware for the BETAFPV Nano receiver and TX module is listed as ELRS 3.3.0. Keeping your transmitter module and receiver on the same ExpressLRS version is essential for proper binding and reliable operation.
- TX module and receiver must use the same ELRS version or binding will fail
- 915 MHz setup benefits from regular firmware updates for features and compatibility improvements
- Wi-Fi update support is available on Nano TX modules from January 2022 onward
- Older units may require updating via ExpressLRS Configurator

Basic Setup
ExpressLRS uses the Crossfire Serial Protocol (CRSF) for communication between the radio and the Nano TX module. Before use, make sure your transmitter supports CRSF.
For radios running OpenTX, the standard setup is:
- Open the Model Setup page
- Turn Internal RF off
- Enable External RF
- Select CRSF as the protocol

Binding and Output Power
The Nano TX module can enter binding mode through the ELRS LUA script. It can also be triggered directly from the module button.
- Press the button 3 times quickly to enter binding mode
- The LED will not flash during binding mode
- The module exits binding mode automatically after 5 seconds

RF output power can be adjusted through the ELRS LUA script or by using a long press on the module button.

LED Color and RF Power
| LED Color | RF Output Power |
