What is UPS mode in DJI Power 1000 V2? How to use it?

UPS stands for "Uninterruptible Power Supply". This mode is primarily used to power devices through the DJI Power 1000 V2 in the event of a power outage, preventing potential problems.
When electrical devices are connected to the switched-on DJI Power 1000 V2 and everything is powered from the mains, press the AC button and make sure that the AC output indicator lights up solid - the station then automatically enters UPS mode.
DJI Power 1000 V2 can start powering connected devices within 10 ms*.
You can decide whether to use UPS mode depending on the equipment you are using.

How to update software DJI Power 1000 V2?

You can update the software using DJI Home or DJI Assistant 2.

DJI Home:

After connecting DJI Power 1000 V2 to the app and setting up the Wi-Fi network, go to the Settings tab, then select Firmware Update and install the latest version of the.

DJI Assistant 2:

Refer to the Software Update section of the manual.
Before starting the update, install DJI Assistant 2 (Power Series) software on your computer.

Instructions and download links are available at https://www.dji.com/power-1000-v2/downloads.

What is the warranty period DJI Power 1000 V2?

The default warranty period is three years. You can extend it for an additional two years by downloading the DJI Home app and making your first call.

How to take care of the DJI Power 1000 V2 power station to extend its life?

DO NOT store the station for an extended period of time when it is fully discharged - this can lead to deep discharge and permanent damage to the cells.
For long-term storage, charge the device to 100% and then discharge to about 60%. Storing for a long time at a high level of charge accelerates the aging of the battery, and at a low level - risks over-discharge.
Then, every four months or so, perform a full charge and discharge cycle: discharge the station to 15%, then turn it off and wait at least two hours, then charge to 100% in Standard mode.

What to do when the power station displays an error code?

If an error code appears on the station's display, connect to DJI Home to check details and possible solutions. You can also visit DJI Power Series Product Support.

What charging methods does DJI Power 1000 V2 support?

AC power supply:

Charging from the mains using the AC input port.

DC power supply:

  • Charging from a car's alternator using DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger.
  • Solar and/or vehicle alternator charging using DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger.
  • Solar charging with DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) and photovoltaic panels.

How to turn on AC power output? How many modes are available?

To activate the AC output, press the AC button when the power is on, or activate it remotely in the DJI Home app.
By pressing the AC button once, its indicator begins to flash slowly. If no device is charged by AC outlets within 30 minutes, AC power will be automatically turned off to save energy.
If you press and hold the AC button, the indicator lights up solid, and the AC output does not turn off automatically.

How to change the frequency of AC power output?

The following options are available:
1. When charging from the mains, the station can automatically switch to the same frequency as the frequency of the power input.
2. To adjust parameters manually, press and hold the AC button for 10 seconds until the frequency changes on the display.

How to get maximum power output when powering through a USB-C port?

USB-C port supports a maximum output power of 140 watts. The connected device must support the PD 3.1 protocol and be used with a USB EPR compliant cable.
For example, on a 16-inch MacBook Pro, a regular USB-C cable allows up to 100 watts of power to be transmitted. 140 W can only be achieved with a standard magnetic cable.

What to keep in mind when using the station in cold weather?

At low temperatures, power supply efficiency may decrease and output power may be reduced.

After what time DJI Power 1000 V2 shuts down if it does not power any device?

You can set automatic shutdown time in DJI Home app. By default, the station shuts down after 30 minutes with no active power supply.

What functions are supported by SDC ports? What is the difference between SDC port and SDC Lite?

SDC port enables:

Charging:

  • Charge the station with up to 1,000 watts of power from a car outlet using DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger.
  • Charge with up to 1,800 watts from photovoltaic panels or up to 1,200 watts from panels + 600 watts from car using DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger.
  • Charging with up to 400 watts from photovoltaic panels via DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT).
  • Charging from 12V/24V car socket via DJI Power Car Power Outlet cable to SDC.

Capacity Expansion:

1. Connect up to five batteries DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 and expand capacity to 11,264 Wh.

Power supply:

  • Rapid battery charging for drones with DJI Matrice 4 series, DJI Mavic 3, DJI Air 3, DJI Matrice 30 i DJI Inspire 3 using appropriate cables.
  • Power for devices to be connected in the car through the DJI Power SDC cable to the cigarette lighter socket.
  • Charging RC model batteries in the field by a balancer charger connected via DJI Power SDC cable to XT60 (12V).

The SDC Lite port is designed for low-power devices and does not support additional batteries, DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger or DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger.

Does DJI Power 1000 V2 support DJI Power Dongle?

No, DJI Power 1000 V2 does not support DJI Power Dongle. The station has a built-in wireless module and can connect directly to Wi-Fi and the DJI Home app.

What to pay attention to when using the fast charging function of drones DJI (DJI Power SDC)?

After the flight, wait for the drone's battery to cool down before connecting it to the corresponding cable DJI Power SDC - otherwise the charging speed may be slower.
The last 5% of charging (from 95% to 100%) is done in sustained charging mode, which means a slower pace. You may want to consider using the battery once it reaches 95% - the operating time will not be significantly shorter than on a full charge.
