Both cameras, DJI Action 5 Pro and DJI Action 4, have a very similar design with external OLED touchscreens on the front and back. However, it is worth noting that the screen on the Action 5 Pro is brighter, which makes it easier to use the camera in high-light conditions, such as in bright sunlight. The dimensions of both models are identical, allowing the use of the same accessories, such as filters or housings.

In terms of waterproof, DJI Action 5 Pro outperforms predecessor. The new camera allows immersion to a depth of up to 20 meters, while DJI Action 4 has a maximum immersion depth of 18 meters. For divers and water sports enthusiasts, this difference could prove crucial.

New to the Action 5 Pro model is built-in memory of 47 MB, which allows you to save short recordings in case of a damaged or missing memory card. What's more, the Action 5 Pro supports memory cards with capacities up to 1 TB, while Action 4 supports cards up to 512 GB.

As for audio, both cameras are equipped with three microphones providing omnidirectional stereo sound recording with advanced noise reduction and improved audio fidelity.

At first glance, the camera parameters of both models are very similar. Both cameras are equipped with 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, offering a wide viewing angle of 155° and an aperture of f/2.8. They also have the same stabilization modes, such as RockSteady 3.0, RockSteady 3.0+, HorizonBalancing and HorizonSteady, which ensures smooth recording even in dynamic situations.

However, the differences appear in the details. Although both cameras record in quality 4K to 120 frames per second, DJI Action 4 additionally offers the ability to record in aspect ratio 4:3. Both models support recording in 10-bit D-log M format, which is important for professionals who need a lot of flexibility when editing colors.

However, the new DJI Action 5 Pro clearly stands out in terms of photo quality. This model offers 40-megapixel sensor, while the Action 4 has only 10 megapixels. In addition, the new model features continuous shooting, allowing you to take up to 30 photos in 3 seconds.

Also worth noting is the new mode night in DJI Action 5 Pro, backed by artificial intelligence (AI) that significantly improves the quality of low-light photos and videos. Both cameras offer features Slow Motion, Hyperlapse and Timelapse in 4K resolution.
