How to use

1. Open the built-in tripod

(1) Gently drop the bottom of the Throwpod onto a flat surface from a height of about 10 cm to open the built-in tripod.
(2) Hold the Throwpod and press downward to fully deploy the tripod. Then place it on a smooth, level surface.

Notes:

• Do not drop the Throwpod from a height greater than 10 cm to avoid damage.
• Always place it on a flat surface for better stability.
• Do not force the tripod legs into unnatural positions or angles.
• Use extra caution in strong wind, as the Throwpod may tip over.
• When using it with the tripod folded, do not press on the bottom section to avoid accidental deployment.

2. Mount your camera or gimbal

Align the 1/4" mount on the bottom of your camera or gimbal with the 1/4" screw on top of the Throwpod. Turn the device clockwise to secure it in place.

Notes:

• The illustrations show Insta360 Flow 2 Pro, but the Throwpod also works with other Insta360 products.
• For 360° cameras, keep the camera aligned parallel to the Throwpod to help keep it out of 360° footage.
• For the Insta360 Ace series, use a Quick Release Mount or a 3-Prong to 1/4" adapter.
• Do not exceed the maximum load of 850 g.
• Avoid accidental drops that could scratch the surface or damage the tripod.

3. Extend the selfie stick

Pull out the built-in stick from the top section and extend it to your preferred length. If you use the Throwpod with an Insta360 gimbal, you can also take advantage of the gimbal’s built-in extension stick if available.

Notes:

• Extend only to a suitable height to reduce the risk of tipping.
• Retract the stick before carrying the Throwpod to prevent damage from strong vibrations.
• Wipe away sweat or liquids with a soft cloth to help prevent discoloration.
• Do not use harsh cleaning products.

4. Fold and store

(1) Turn the camera or gimbal counterclockwise to remove it.
(2) Press down from the top with one hand while pulling upward with the other.
(3) Once the tripod is folded, hold the top of the Throwpod with one hand and press it closed fully with the other.

Notes:

• Be careful not to pinch your fingers while folding the tripod.
• After use in seawater or at the beach, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly before storage.
• Remove excess water and make sure the Throwpod is completely dry.
• Avoid storing it with sharp objects such as keys to prevent scratches.
• Keep the Throwpod away from dust and sand during storage.
