Kimpok Analog Transmitter KP-T12A10

Kimpok KP-T12A10 - 1.2 GHz 10 W Analog VTX Transmitter
Kimpok KP-T12A10 is a powerful 1.2 GHz analog video transmitter designed for FPV and UAV hobby builds where strong signal, stable video transmission, and flexible power control really matter. With adjustable output power up to 10 W, support for 9 channels in the 1080-1360 MHz range, and active cooling based on an aluminum housing, heatsink, and fan, this VTX is a great choice for more demanding long-range analog setups.
If you are building an advanced FPV system and need more than a standard low-power VTX can offer, the KP-T12A10 gives you extra headroom for testing, tuning, and flying in tougher environments. SmartAudio IRC Tramp support makes configuration more convenient, while the wide DC 15-36 V input range allows use with 4S-8S batteries.

Up to 10 W Output Power with 5 Adjustable Levels
The standout feature of the KP-T12A10 is its high output power of up to 10 W. Instead of running at full power all the time, you can match the transmission level to your current needs. That makes this transmitter practical for bench setup, system testing, different flight ranges, and installations where signal strength needs to be adjusted depending on the environment.
Power level changes are made using the button on the housing. A green LED indicates the selected power setting, with the number of flashes matching the active mode. Pressing and holding the button for around 3 seconds activates Pit Mode, where the green LED stays on continuously.
| Operating Mode | Power | Green LED Indicator | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pit Mode | Service mode | Solid light | Pre-flight setup and configuration |
| Level 1 | 1 W | 1 flash | Lower power for testing and lighter-duty use |
| Level 2 | 2.5 W | 2 flashes | Medium power for FPV video transmission |
| Level 3 | 5 W | 3 flashes | Stronger analog signal output |
| Level 4 | 7.5 W | 4 flashes | More demanding outdoor setups |
| Level 5 | 10 W | 5 flashes | Maximum transmitter power |
9 Channels in the 1.2 GHz Band with Simple Control
Kimpok KP-T12A10 supports 9 channels in the 1.2 GHz band. Channel switching is handled with the Band & Channel button, while the current setting is shown by the red LED. Each short press moves to the next channel, and the number of flashes corresponds to the selected channel number.
This makes the VTX quick and easy to configure without relying on complicated menus. The 1080-1360 MHz frequency range plus the additional 1258 MHz channel gives you more flexibility when matching the transmitter to your receiver and overall FPV setup.
| Channel | Frequency |
|---|---|
| CH1 | 1080 MHz |
| CH2 | 1120 MHz |
| CH3 | 1160 MHz |
| CH4 | 1200 MHz |
| CH5 | 1240 MHz |
| CH6 | 1280 MHz |
| CH7 | 1320 MHz |
| CH8 | 1360 MHz |
| CH9 | 1258 MHz |
Active Cooling and Thermal Protection
When running at up to 10 W, efficient heat dissipation is essential. The KP-T12A10 uses an aluminum housing, a heatsink, and a cooling fan to help maintain stable operation during transmission. The case design is optimized to improve heat transfer and support better airflow around the module.
The transmitter also includes thermal protection. If the temperature exceeds 100°C, the unit automatically reduces output power by one level. If the temperature remains too high, power can continue stepping down to the lowest setting. Once the module cools to around 95°C, the transmitter returns to the previously selected power level.
- Aluminum case helps dissipate heat efficiently
- Heatsink increases the cooling surface area
- Built-in fan supports stable operating temperature
- Thermal protection automatically reduces power during overheating
- For best performance, install the module where airflow is not restricted

What’s Included and Wiring Overview
The product includes the Kimpok KP-T12A10 transmitter with cooling case, fan, and SMA antenna connector. It is designed for analog video transmission systems, so before powering it on, make sure the power input, video signal, IRC control, and antenna are connected correctly.
- 1 x Kimpok KP-T12A10 1.2 GHz 10 W analog VTX transmitter
| Pin | Function | Wire Color |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15-36 V | Red |
| 2 | GND | Black |
| 3 | Video | Yellow |
| 4 | IRC | White |
| 5 | 5 V Out | Red |
| 6 | GND | Black |
Before turning the transmitter on, make sure the RF antenna is installed, the input voltage is within the DC 15-36 V range, and the wire polarity is correct. Powering the transmitter without an antenna may shorten the module’s lifespan or cause permanent damage. When using higher power levels, install the unit in a location with good airflow for reliable cooling.
