Up to 5 W Output for More Demanding FPV Setups
The standout feature of the KP-T1250 is its high 5000 mW output power, making it a solid pick for analog FPV systems where signal strength matters most. Whether you are building a long-range platform or experimenting with a custom video transmission setup, this VTX gives you the extra headroom needed for more challenging conditions.
For bench testing, setup, or reduced interference, the transmitter can also be switched to 25 mW mode. Power selection is handled via the button on the housing, while the green LED makes the current mode easy to identify at a glance.
| Operating Mode | Power | LED Indication | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pit Mode | Service mode | Green LED stays on continuously | Pre-flight setup and configuration |
| Low Power | 25 mW | Green LED flashes once | Testing, short-range use, lower interference |
| High Power | 5000 mW | Green LED flashes twice | Stronger analog FPV video transmission |
Holding the button for around 3 seconds activates Pit Mode, which is especially useful when configuring your gear before flight without running full transmit power.
9 Channels in the 1.2 GHz Band and Easy Setup
The Kimpok KP-T1250 supports 9 channels in the 1.2 GHz band, giving hobby users more flexibility when matching the transmitter to their receiver and the local operating environment. Channel switching is done using the Band & Channel button, and the active channel is shown by the red LED.
The number of red LED flashes corresponds to the selected channel, so checking the current setting is quick and easy even without additional tools. The extra 1258 MHz channel adds even more flexibility for custom FPV and analog video builds.
| Channel | Frequency |
|---|---|
| CH1 | 1080 MHz |
| CH2 | 1120 MHz |
| CH3 | 1160 MHz |
| CH4 | 1200 MHz |
| CH5 | 1240 MHz |
| CH6 | 1280 MHz |
| CH7 | 1320 MHz |
| CH8 | 1360 MHz |
| CH9 | 1258 MHz |
Active Cooling and Temperature Protection
Running at 5 W requires effective heat management, and that is why the KP-T1250 uses an aluminum housing, heatsink, and built-in fan. This cooling design helps the transmitter stay more stable during operation and reduces the risk of overheating during longer or higher-power use.
The unit also includes temperature protection. If the internal temperature rises above 100°C, the transmitter automatically lowers the output power by one level. If the temperature remains too high, power is reduced to the lowest setting. Once the module cools down to around 95°C, it returns to the previously selected power level.
- Aluminum housing helps dissipate heat
- Heatsink increases cooling surface area
- Cooling fan improves stability at high output power
- Automatic thermal protection reduces power if overheating occurs
- For best results, install the module where airflow is not restricted

What’s Included and Wiring Information
The product includes the Kimpok KP-T1250 transmitter with its cooling case, fan, and MCX antenna connector. It is intended for analog video transmission systems, so before powering it on, make sure the power input, video signal, ground, and antenna are all connected correctly.
- 1 x Kimpok KP-T1250 1.2 GHz 5 W analog VTX transmitter
| Pin | Function | Wire Color |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 7-36 V | Red |
| 2 | GND | Black |
| 3 | Video | Yellow |
| 4 | IRC | White |
| 5 | 5 V Out | Red |
| 6 | GND | Black |
Before switching on the transmitter, make sure the supply voltage is within the DC 7-36 V range, the polarity is correct, and the RF antenna is installed. Powering up the transmitter without an antenna may shorten its lifespan or damage the module. When using high output power, install the unit in a location with good airflow for proper cooling.
