Chasing M2 Pro/M2 Pro Max Cerulean USBL ROV Locator Mark II - Autosync

Chasing M2 Pro/M2 Pro Max Cerulean USBL ROV Locator Mark II - Autosync
The Chasing Cerulean USBL ROV Locator Mark II with Autosync makes underwater navigation easier and more intuitive. Just power on the system, start your dive, and track your ROV’s position in real time on the map in the QGroundControl app. The system also supports serial communication and API integration, making it a great choice for advanced hobby users and demanding underwater missions.
The Autosync function works by exposing both the receiver and transmitter to GPS/GNSS signals at the start of the mission, and optionally during operation. In most cases, satellites are detected within around 30 seconds after powering on the device. When the ROVL receiver is positioned near the operator and the transmitter is installed on the ROV, satellite detection can take place in the background while you prepare for launch and complete IMU calibration.
The ROV Locator Mark II includes a transmitter mounted on the ROV and a receiver module placed on the surface. The set also comes with a mounting ring and adapter, so you can get started quickly and enjoy reliable underwater positioning with minimal setup.
The USBL system has been optimized in many areas related to setup and synchronization. However, in real-world operation, positioning accuracy may still be affected by environmental conditions, mission scenarios, and signal interference.
Typical horizontal positioning error for the ROV is approximately 0 to 8.5 meters at a distance of 50 meters between the receiver and transmitter. This variation is mainly caused by changes in receiver orientation and alignment. As the distance between the receiver and transmitter increases, the positioning error also becomes larger.
To improve practical USBL accuracy, it is recommended to keep the USBL receiver stable and protected from rotation caused by waves or water movement. It is also a good idea to maintain a reasonable distance between the USBL receiver and pool walls, docks, or boats to minimize interference.
For the best experience, make sure you update the app, ROV firmware, and docking station firmware to the latest available versions.
